My speech on blondes!
How many brunettes does it take to screw in a light bulb?
Two, one to hold the light bulb and one to spin the ladder.
Just because people have blonde hair doesn’t mean they are dumb. Anyone can do something stupid. And you know what; I’ve even got proof of that. I know a brunette (Kim) who tried to put a toaster in the fridge... not toast, a TOASTER! And she’s got brown hair, not blonde.
I also sit beside someone who was highly surprised to learn that I’m in the top spelling group in the class, and I’m also in the highest maths class in the syndicate. So blondes aren’t dumb, many are actually highly intelligent.
Hey, did you hear how the redhead broke her leg raking leaves?
She fell out of the tree.
Blondes always get picked on because of our hair colour!! It’s not fair! My brother always picks on me and calls me “thick” just because my hair is blonde. I guess people may stereotype us blondes as dumb, because deep down they are really quite jealous of us! Blondes are fun to be around; they are sporty, intelligent, good looking, have a great sense of humour, and the list keeps going... So once you get over your jealousy of blondes, just except that we will always be in your life.
And I reckon blondes are cleverer than brunettes and red heads anyway.
Why did the brunette get so excited after she finished her jigsaw puzzle in only six months?
Because on the box it said “from 2-4 years”
Some extremely famous blondes have achieved some good things, like Princess Diana who was a popular international icon in the 80’s, 90’s. She gained some of her recognition for her charity work and her efforts to ban land mines. There are many other examples of famous blondes such as Marilyn Monroe and Madonna as well as Cameron Diaz, Reese Witherspoon and Ashley Tisdale.
How do you keep a person with black hair busy?
Write “Please turn over,” on both sides of a piece of paper.
But I do have to confess there was one time when I did something just a little stupid. This little accident happened at school not so long ago. I was getting off the computer after playing marble blast, and I was wearing headphones for some reason. I got up and started walking away with the headphones still on my head! I completely forgot! OOOPS. At least someone told me before I yanked the computer off the desk and caused a minor catastrophe.
Why do brown hair teachers smile during lightning storms?
They think their picture is being taken.
So sure, blondes do do some stupid or silly things, but then so do brunettes, redheads and others. So some of us clever blondes have decided to start a new movement. Maybe when someone with brown hair acts like a plonker or does something stupid we can say, “Oh, what a brunette!”
Then is it ok if I make fun of you guys if you do something stupid just like you make fun of blondes. I just know you would not appreciate being called names all the time would you? Because us blondes don’t.
Did you hear about the redhead who shot an arrow into the air?
She missed.
If a blonde and a brunette jumped off a bridge, who would die first?
The blonde - because the brunette would have to stop and ask for directions.

Where's the food gone?
“ We all need to get up and get moving.” said Billy. “What, why?” questions Jasper the raccoon. “Anywayz!” yells Billy over the top of everyone. *BEEP!!!!* “What was that?” explained Bob. “Ah, that's just a car spinning out of control..... AND COMING OUR WAY!!!” yells Jasper. “Move Move Move! yells George the porcupine.
Then it happens like a flash of lightning. The car just comes ZOOMING through the hedge and almost flattens everyone! Everyone got up and took a look around. The car had left a long trail of food following behind it. “I guess we don’t need to start scavenging for food, there’s a whole lot here!” hurrahed George. The food trail went on for ever it was a long stretch of food for miles, you couldn’t see the end of the food trail nor could you see were the car stopped. Everyone ran around gathering up as most food as they could. They were collecting food for the rest of the day until Bob bumped into the car that had crashed. It was glory!! He thought to himself. The cars boot was filed with food... LOADS MORE! Bob collected as much food as he could and toke it back to the home log.
“ Hey guys!” calls Bob. Everyone comes rushing to him. They examine the front of the car and it was munted! “WOW! That cars is really angry!” yells Billy. “No you dummy! Its smashed!” tells George. “ Yeah! Its not angry, anywayz how can a car get angry?” questions Jasper. “ Hey, I’m only a little kid! Aren’t I allowed to imagine stuff!?” replies Billy with hurt feelings. The family find their way back to the home log. The log was thankfully full. “It will now last for all of Spring!” says Bob gladly. They were all thinking ‘good we don’t have to collect any food until a years time.
One morning they awoke to seeing an empty log. “WHERE'S THE FOOD GONE!” yells Jasper. “ What are we meant to do now?” says Sarah confused. “Oh, just great! Now we have to find nuts and other yucky stuff from the forest!” says Billy with a disgusted look on his face! While everyone was arguing and trying to figure out where the food went, George found a trail of foot prints and started to follow them. After a couple of minutes since George had left, the rest of the family was realising that something was wrong. “George has ran away with the food! And I betcha that he’s not coming back!” said Sarah with a gasp.
George bumped into a cave built into a rock wall. George walked into the cave. On his way in he bumped into a little baby bear... holding a pile of foods in her hands.. food they had just collected the day before!! “ Hey! That’s my food your holding!” screams George. “I’m awfully sorry.” said the little bear. “ My dads awfully sick, and last night I went for a stroll to see if I could find something useful to help my dad get better and I bumped into a log fill of food. I thought it might help my dad get better, so the foods this way.” says little bear. On their way further into the cave George asks “What’s your name?” “Um... call me Jasmine” answers Jasmine.Once they finally reached the end of the cave there was a bear who was lying on the ground eating food. The bear had gotten through half the food already! “ You guys are gonna find all this food again!” explains George.
Back at the home log everyone is getting very angry and annoyed that George has gone. “We have to find George.....AND THE FOOD!” explains Jasper “YEAH, come on guys!” says Bob. “Hey guys look over here” calls Sarah. Everyone rushed over and found the same footprints that George had found. “This must lead to the food and George!” says Billy excitedly. “Lets go” Says Sarah, And off they went.
“Are you okay sir?” Questions George. “Ah Jazz who is this?” Asks daddy bear. “Um.....this is....” starts Jasmine... “Hi I’m George the animal that collected all the food your eating!” says George annoyed. “Yeah” says Jasmine. “Ok I’m sorry I've just suddenly gotten very sick” says Daddy bear with a cough. “What’s your name sir?” questions George. “Call me Peter.” answers Peter. “Ok” replies George. “ Once i am better I will find all this food and return it to you as soon as possible.” tells Peter sounding very weak. “Yeah, you better!” says George. “Hey Jasmine can you help me find my way out of this cave, because my friends are probably thinking I've gone away with the food.” asks George. “Oh, yes sure!” answers Sarah.
While George and Jasmine are finding their way of the cave, the others had just reached the entrance of the cave. The bump into George and Jasmine on the way into the cave. “WHERES THE FOOD?” demands Sarah. “Ask Jasmine.” says George looking her way. “I take it that your Jasmine?” says Sarah looking her way. “Yes” replies Jasmine. “WHERES OUR FOOD?!” yells everyone but George. “I am so sorry, but my Dad has become very sick and I happened to find a log full of scrumptious food, so i picked it up and took some to my Dad.” says Jasmine. “oh, I’m awfully sorry to hear that.” says Sarah. “George please come and help me get the rest of your food?” says Jasmine. “We’ll all come down and help collect the food.” says George.
They arrive at the end of the cave and start collecting food, once they had collected all the food they started heading out of the cave until they hear “Daddy” says Jasmine. “Daddy, Daddy please wake up!” cries Jasmine. Jasmine looks up at everyone and says “He’s gone” and she starts balling her eyes out. “Oh I’m sorry would you like to be apart of our family?” asks Jasper. “Oh, yes please! I would love to!” answers Sarah. “Bye Daddy I love you.” whispers Jasmine.
The whole trip back was absolute silence. They arrive at the home log and get Jasmine settled in. Everyone helped out to put the rest of the food back into the log. The food lasted all of spring At the end of Spring everyone including Jasmine snuggled down in the log to keep them nice and warm for the Winter, after about 1hour everyone was asleep.

Who killed the electric car?
WALT: Describe how advancements in technology occur to meet a need or to solve a problem.
Q1: What does the use of the electric car solve?
There are chargers that you need to plug into the EV1 (electric car) to make the car go. Once the car is fully charged it can only travel 70-80km. So if your going on holiday you will have to charge the more than 2 times if you were traveling a long way, that would be a pain! But EV1 cars didn't let out gas and other air pollution that cause global warming. My point of view about the EV1 cars are much better than the cars we drive around these days because the pollution that come out of the cars are causing more global warming by the minute.
Q2: Who will benefit from the electric car?
The environment because the of the cars we drive today they let out fuels that we shouldn't be breathing or the living creatures around us. That's why some animals are getting extinct.
Q3: What problems are caused by the electric car?
If you keep an EV1 in your garage and you have got a battery charger in your garage, it uses more electricity so it will cost more, but you would save on petrol.
Q4: Write a one page review on-"Who killed the electric car"
I didn't really enjoy watching the movie because I found it boring, but I did learn some things.
I learnt that electric cars run on batteries and can only last for 70-80km. The electric is a lot better than the cars we drive now but they are expensive. The cars we have now caused global warming but the EV1 cars didn't.
If you need to travel around, to places or holiday your going to need to charge the car more than once through out the journey.
The cars we drive now can kill people, because they can get lung disease by the air pollution.
The EV1 car is faster and quieter than normal cars. An EV1 car cost the same as a normal car (gas car) In 1996 the first electric car was invented. In 1989 15-20 year olds had lung disease caused by the car we drive today.

Camp Motutapu 2010
Day1:
A very nerve racking wake up to Monday 3rd of May, because syndicate D and Room28 were going on camp to Mototapu island! I’m going to have a great time and an awesome experience!
I felt very excited but nervous at the same time on Monday morning. My Dad and I arrived at Half Moon Bay port and waited 45mins before the ferry was under way. The walk was extremely tiring! When we finally arrived my legs felt like jelly! All I did was want to sleep!
Dinner was Nachos it was delicious! We had dessert that was chocolate pudding, it was disquisting!
The highlight of my day was the Burma trail! It wasn’t that scary, but there was one bit that was. It was when a parent jumped out of the bush and scared the living day lights out of me! We came back after the night activities and had a Milo, then got ready for bed.
Day2:
Day 2 was an early start (6.40am) I chilloxed for a while because I was so cold I felt like an ice cube. I had breakfast once I was up and, moving it was so nice. I had rice bubbles, chocolate milk and sugar.
My first activity was rock climbing. I was kind of looking forward to that. It wasn’t that good, maybe I needed to do high ropes first. Confidence course was second. That was so fun we all worked well as a team. Sadly we had to leave early because w had lunch duties. L For lunch we had garlic bread and salad and it was so nice, of course because I made it. After lunch our activity was kayaking. That was the last water activity at camp and it was only day 2. It was so fun! We played soccer, Blue kayaks VS green kayaks, I was in blue and we won! It was sad we couldn’t go further out or around the little island. Yah! High ropes were lucky last! I was afraid of heights but once I was up actually reasonably high I thought to my self ‘this is not high at all’ I feel proud that I conquered my fears.
Night activity was a hall game that was boring! I didn’t really have enough energy to do my best because I was so knackered!
Day3:
I just wanted my own bed I was so tired! I thought that day3 was going to be an awesome day! I had the same breakfast as Day2 it was so nice! I had to get changed into some old clothes because I had survivor as my first activity. I got extremely muddy! Because Tami feel in to the muddy pond, I gave her a hand, she grabbed hold of it, but............ she pulls me in with her! So kind! Luckily we were able to have a swim in the sea to get rid of the mud; most of it didn’t come off. L The gun walk was up next. It was so interesting learning about the war and its equipment. On the walk to get there and back, the view was just gorgeous!
For lunch we had the choice of sandwich’s, salad and hot food. I had sandwiches and salad. After lunch the activity was archery. I thought I was really good at it, but guess not, I didn’t do so well. L Last year at camp I did really well doing archery this year I didn’t even get it on the target, maybe except once. Next was the very last proper activity, because the next day would be electives. That activity was orienteering. I was Tami’s partner; we did alright but not the best. Someone told us the code, and that was ‘you are finished’, even though we new the code we still didn’t win, we were close, very close.
Dinner was sticky chicken. That I can say was definitely the best meal! Then for dessert we had jelly and ice cream that was also the best dessert. I had lots more energy for do night activities than Tuesday night. Wednesday night’s activity was spot light and go home stay home. I reckon I did reasonably well because I got home twice with out getting caught. It was actually quiet hard to get home. At camp there was a lot of FAKE MURDERS; tomato sauce was used as blood. There was at least 2 or more murders a day.
Day4:
Late night, late morning wake up. We were going home the next day, I’m sure I was not the only one wanting to go home have my own bed. Then I was becoming home sick, so thank fully I was going home the next day, even though I had been away from home and my parents for longer I still felt home sick. I had the same breakfast every day because it was so nice!
On Thursday it was elective day. That is when we get to choose 3 activities that we want to do again. I choose rock climbing/abseiling, Survivor and high ropes. (In that order.) So first up were rock climbing/ abseiling. I didn’t do abseiling because I find it boring, but I did do the rock wall. Every time I went on the rock, I would reach higher than the other time I went up and in the end I eventually reached the top in like 1min. Lunch was Mac and cheese, my fave!
Second elective was survivor, which was just awesome! Us girls (4) VS boys (5), was very challenging. Not really!! The girls won, only because we had less than the boys. After we had completed the course we had free time on any thing we wanted to do. Everyone was on the equipment above the muddy water. I was on a wire above the muddy water and someone was on the other end of the line, contently shaking it! I managed to stay on for a while with out falling off. My feet fell off the wire, but I was still holding on, I got my feet back onto the wire but straight away I feel off! The very sad thing about it was, it got caught on tape, thanks to my teacher and even worse I’m pretty sure it’s going on youtube!
High ropes were the lucky last. The high light of my day AGAIN! There was this awesome thing called the flying kiwi, so who ever went along would have a go on it. My turn was up, I was really excited, and it was definitely the best thing at camp! After everyone had had a go we moved on to the high ropes activities. Camp concert was on Thursday night. I was randomly picked out of the audience thanks to my bright pink beanie! I got sprayed with crazy string! And it stunk! Now on Thursday that was definitely the best day at camp by far! I had such a great time and a great experience. I would really like to go there again.
Day5:
It was the day we went home, it had finally arrived. I got up and had toast not the breakfast I usually had. We had our duties, group A and B were on toilet duties. YUK! But thank fully Troll came along and said he would do toilets and the showers. So our groups went down to the beach until we were called back.
The walk had arrived again, but it didn’t seem as long. While we were having lunch the ferry arrived. Me and Tami hoped onto the ferry but we couldn’t find any seats so we had to sit outside. Personally I think it was actually the best seat on the boat. We finally arrived at Half Moon Bay port, my mum or dad weren't there. I ended up waiting there for ages until my teacher called my dad, and then he came 2mins later and took me home.

History Of Cellphones
History of Cell Phones
Did you know there wouldn’t be any point in having cell phones if there weren’t any cell phone towers, because thats what gives you signal so you can call and send messages to people?
There are all types of phones like Vodafone, 2 degrees and telecom.( My opinion Vodafone is the best!) You would probably think that phones are awesome and no minus’s about them but they are wrong. Some naughty person might find a phone and like the look of it so they steal it, and the person who owned they phone will probably never see it again.
There are so many cool things on cell phones like games, camera, video recording & voice recording. On phones you can down load songs, pictures and some more stuff like that. If you more songs you might need a memory card. A memory card can hold as many things you want on your phone like games, songs, pictures, voice recordings, video recording and photos its all pretty cool!
The most important thing you need to have for a phone is a sim card, charger and batteries to make the phone work. A sim card is to hold all your contacts and all the stuff you have
done on your phone. A charger is a plug that puts more energy into the batteries so that the phone works and batteries make the phone work with out them the phone won’t even turn on!
